What happened?
You just arrived at your first year of wizard school. During a Dark Arts Defense class spell demonstration, the Headmaster suddenly appears but is in the path of the spell! The locomoto petrificus spell traps him somewhere on school grounds! Even worse, if the spell is not reversed within one hour, it will explode and destroy the school! You see a scrap of paper and a letter from an owl on the floor. Can you find the Headmaster and create a wand that has the power to break the spell? The hour is running out!
⏳Game time: 45-60 minutes
👨👩👧👦Players: 6-8 recommended (but can have down to 1 player- how to instructions are included)

➡️Large groups: Print copies so there are 6-8 per copy and set up in separate areas of the room. You can run all escape rooms at the same time.

This is a very well thought-out game. The graphics and wording is adapted creatively from the world of Harry Potter. The seller was responsive to questions and their video is extremely helpful. It was a little too challenging for the 8- and 9-year-olds at my son's birthday party, but they still had tons of fun! There were 9 kids total, so I split them into 2 teams and had each team solve a path. A good adaptation for this age group would be to assign an adult to each team for assistance. There wasn't enough time for them to solve the double-locked envelope so they didn't technically escape, but it was still successful in that the kids enjoyed themselves. I will definitely be back for some other escape rooms in the future!
